Chiropractic is safe for the pregnant woman and her baby. It can be especially appealing to those who are trying to avoid medications in treating their aches and pain. A lot of the time, the protruding abdomen and increased back curve, pelvic changes and postural adaptations are the cause for aches and pain for pregnant women.
Kissun Chiropractic can also offer posture, exercise, nutrition, and ergonomic advice to help the mum-to-be enjoy a healthy pregnancy. The nervous system is the master communication system to all the body systems including the reproductive system. By being adjusted at Kissun Chiropractic, you are keeping the spine aligned and this helps the entire body work more effectively.
The Doctor has helped me to regain control over my body. After two pregnancies and extended periods of breastfeeding, I developed aches in my lower and mid back. Numerous visits to an Osteopath and weekly massages to address these aches did not improve the condition. I decided to give Chiropractic a try as a last ditch attempt and to my surprise found that the adjustments helped tremendously. I am now going much deeper into my yoga poses too as my spine and muscles are in alignment. Even my mood is better! The Doctors at Kissun Chiropractic are genuinely sincere about helping you and it is a refreshing change from other Chiropractors.
My experience at Kissun Chiropractic has been straightforward and when I became pregnant it became even more important to get treatment. I am now much improved! General advice on chiropractic medicine and pregnancy has been most helpful. My ongoing issues with my back and neck have improved. I have been treated for other problems that have arisen such as pregnancy related issues, ear problems etc. I have never felt rushed or preached to, it’s a pleasure to visit. Pick this practice, you won’t regret it!”
My Doctor helped me throughout my recent pregnancy to reduce discomfort and ensure my body was in the best position for delivery and post-pregnancy. My Doctor has always taken the time to give excellent advice and personalised treatment. I would recommend my Doctor to anyone who is suffering from pain in the body, neck, and hips or to someone who is looking for special care during and following pregnancy.
I experienced particularly debilitating low back pain from my second trimester onwards. I had difficulty getting up from a lying position and with walking. My gait changed. As I was pregnant, I did not want to rely on painkillers or muscle relaxants and needed a natural, drug free approach. My obstetrician was supportive of chiropractic therapy. Being adjusted regularly at Kissun Chiropractic helped tremendously with my mobility and pain management. The Doctors have special techniques and the practice has special equipment for pregnant ladies. I continue with Chiropractic care post pregnancy as it keeps my joints mobile and helps provide relief from stiff shoulders from carrying my baby for prolonged periods and breastfeeding, wrist and thumb pain, etc. I would recommend Kissun Chiropractic to all pregnant moms to be looking for a natural approach for their low back pain issues as well as post pregnancy maintenance care and healing which our bodies need after childbirth.
I began seeing the Doctor about a year before I fell pregnant. My husband and I had been struggling to conceive our second child so I went to Kissun Chiropractic to make sure everything was adjusted to give us the best chance to fall pregnant. Once we fell pregnant, I continued to get adjusted every month as I suffered from excruciating headaches during my first pregnancy.
I have always felt that the Doctor along with his staff really takes time to “know” their patients. The Doctor never rushed through an appointment and really took the time to make sure everything was adjusted well.
I would say that if you are looking for a Doctor who will not only adjust you, but will know you as a patient then the Doctors at Kissun Chiropractic are a great fit.
As long as I got adjusted every 4 weeks, I could keep the headaches away.
Additionally, 12 weeks into my pregnancy, I broke my foot. I spent the next 4 months on crutches and continued with treatment monthly. The Doctor always took the time to not only adjust my back/neck, but also gave me advice to aid with the healing of my foot. I spent a lot of time sitting with the broken foot and if it weren’t for the Doctor, my pregnancy would have been quite a struggle!
